Visit the archeoParc in winter

The archeoParc outdoor area is covered in a white layer of snow these days. For outdoor enthusiasts – there’s no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing – our colleague Sara Weithaler has scoured our bookable offers and put together some tips for archeoParc visits during the winter break. Why not combine a day’s skiing on the Val Senales Glacier with a visit to the archeoParc?
Even if there are no opening days during the archeoParc winter break, you can still visit the archeoParc. All you need for this: Warm outdoor clothing and an appointment booking.
Did you know that you can also visit the archeoParc as a private group in winter?
A skiing holiday in Val Senales. A coach trip to Merano. A school project. A company event. As varied as the occasions for an archeoParc visit in winter are, so too are the offers that can be booked during the winter break.
The spectrum of winter offers ranges from classic museum tours and mini-workshops to a mulled punch drink around the campfire in the Stone Age house. Like all guided tours and events, our team of cultural mediators offers the winter programmes in German, Italian and English. The costs vary depending on the number of participants from 180 euros.
The following offers, for example, are suitable for a visit during the cold season:
appetisers (40 min)
Ötzi, boxwood and loden (60 min, ‘small village tour with museum’)
Hut magic (45 min, mulled punch drink)
Around the campfire (90 min, family programme)
For ‘appetisers’ and ‘Ötzi, Boxwood and loden’, the morning is the best time to visit. ‘Hut magic’ and “Around the campfire” are ideal afternoon and evening programmes and can be combined with a day of skiing in the Alpin Arena Schnals.
An overview of all bookable archeoParc offers for families, adults, school classes and holiday groups can be found here on the website under Book a group. Bookings can be made directly at the archeoParc, by telephone on +39 0473 676020 or by email to info@archeoparc.it.
Ötzi Glacier Tour Ski
However, we have another option for all ski touring fans: we offer the ‘Ski’ version of the Ötzi Glacier Tour in winter. Every Tuesday, we head across the Hochjoch glacier to Ötzi’s discovery site on the Tisenjoch at 3,210 metres above sea level. The coordinator of our mountain guides, Robert Ciatti, and we are looking forward to the tour days!

Last but not least: the archeoParc is open daily again from Easter to All Saints’ Day
If you have landed here but don’t want to visit the archeoParc in winter, but are already eagerly awaiting the warmer season, this is perhaps the best place to start: behind the scenes, we are of course preparing our programme for spring and summer. To make sure you don’t miss any news, simply check out our Instagram profile or take a look at our Facebook page.
This much can be revealed: A visit to archeoParc is worthwhile at any time of year. On chilly winter days as well as on warm summer days, when the visitor centre and open-air area with all six adventure stations are open.
Will we see you at the campfire for a mulled punch or later, at the dugout canoe jetty, for a Stone Age canoe trip? We look forward to it!
