Edizione aurina – Photo exhibition by Konrad Laimer
This years’ photo exhibition at the archeoParc cafeteria, Edizione aurina, is all about copper. Already 5000 years ago this material was processed to jewelry, tools and arms. The pictures shown on the tables were taken in Val Aurina valley during the workshops “Metallgeruch/metal odour” (2001-2003) organized in collaboration with the Moore College of Art Philadelphia. The goldsmith Konrad Laimer and the stonesculptor Daniel Peter showed how to work with copper from the St. Ignaz gallery (Predoi in Val Aurina valley). In his laboratory in Naturno Konrad Laimer still creates copper jewelry using simplest materials and techniques.
